How We Select Products

Keenii selects compact, practical products by comparing published specifications, use-case fit, setup friction, footprint, and everyday pack-away behaviour. We keep ranges small, state what a product is not for, and mark unpublished figures as "not listed" instead of guessing.

The standard, in plain terms

Before a product enters the store, it has to pass five questions:

• Does it solve a specific, recurring friction? Not "is it nice," but: does it fix cables that drift, a screen that sits too low, a setup that must vanish at dinner time? Products that solve vague problems don't make it in.
• Do the published specs support the claim? We compare listed dimensions, weights, materials, wattages, and compatibility line by line. Where a maker doesn't publish a figure, we treat it as unknown — in our guides that appears as "not listed," never as an invented number.
• Does it respect a temporary space? Much of what we stock is for surfaces people don't permanently own — rented desks, shared tables. We favour products that fold, coil, tuck away, or remove cleanly, and we flag the ones that depend on adhesives or specific surfaces.
• Is the trade-off honest? Every product has a boundary. A 480Mbps cable is a charging-first choice. A USB-A hub is not a dock. We'd rather state the boundary and lose a sale than blur it and lose your trust.
• Would we tell a friend to skip it? Every guide we publish includes who a product is not for. If we can't write that section honestly, we don't stock the product.

What we don't do

We don't accept payment for placement in our guides. We don't claim brand partnerships or endorsements we don't have. We don't copy marketing claims we can't trace to a published specification. And we don't pad the store: a small range we can stand behind beats a large one we can't.

When we get something wrong

Specifications change and mistakes happen. If you find a spec on Keenii that doesn't match what arrived, tell us via the Contact page — we correct published content and, where the difference matters, we make it right on the order.
